3. Developing risk assessments

Risk assessment considers the consequences of potential hazards, faults, failures, and accident scenarios. In particular, it provides a quantitative assessment of risk in contrast to other approaches.

The Hazard and Risk Management Procedure aims to prescribe the responsibilities and overarching actions required for the management of hazards during university related activities to ensure that CDU meets the requirements of all relevant legislation, and CDU policies. This procedure applies to all students, visitors and staff who are undertaking CDU related activities (including those working off campus).
