Context
Course and unit templates offer an opportunity to establish a common and consistent experience for the student and an efficient mechanism for the institution to manage and reuse content.
Dev is an experienced systems officer in a small support team, and he takes responsibility for the annual course/unit copy procedure each year so that teaching staff can prepare their learning materials for the next semester.
He has been working with the digital design team and several educators on a project to develop standard templates for the university. The templates need to allow for content and materials that is required for vocational education courses and other information that is needed for higher education courses.
At times, information, instruction, and reusable content for both templates may need updating or editing and ideally courses and subjects created from the templates will update if changes are made to master templates.
