13 Kingdom- Plantae

Here is another diagram illustrating how the Kingdom Plantae is divided into non-vascular and vascular plants. Again, note where the flowering plants that we will be studying fit in the plant kingdom: vascular> seed-producing> flowering.

NOTE: Plants with one seed leaf vs. plants with two seed leaves :

  • Monocotyledons (one seed leaf) are now known as Liliopsida.
  • Dicotyledons (two seed leaves) are now known as Magnoliopsida.
