SMART goals

When thinking about your goals you need to make SMART goals.  That is, they need to be:

Specific – What is the mission statement for your goal ?  Include who, what, when, where and why.

Measurable – How will you know you have achieved your goal?  Include the metrics for achievement.

Achievable – Is this goals something that is possible for you to achieve?  Think about the knowledge and skills you will need to achieve the goal, and how you could go about it.

Relevant – Does this goal make sense in respect to you and what you want to achieve?  Remember goals are meant to inspire you and be realistic.

Time bound    -What is the timeframe for the goal?  You make smaller milestones along the way to keep you on track and aware of your progress.
